Role Overview
The Teacher Library Assistant will work closely with the Head Librarian to ensure the library runs smoothly and continues to be a space that inspires joy and imagination. This role is ideal for someone who is:

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Teacher Library Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Librarian with day-to-day library management.
- Covering, preparing, shelving, issuing, and receiving books.
- Assisting students and staff in accessing and using library resources effectively.
- Facilitating weekly book education classes with Grades 000–6, encouraging reading and storytelling.
- Helping to create a welcoming, stimulating space where learners celebrate books and ideas.
- Attending and supporting external library activities and school events.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
- Previous Early Childhood Development (ECD) experience or a relevant teaching/library qualification.
- A genuine passion for books, reading, and education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence, initiative, and the ability to manage a busy environment.
- Organisational skills, creativity, and high energy.
