Van Assistant Position at Tiger Brands

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security and Returns Management: Conduct security checks after truck returns to the bakery, ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Offloading and Basket Control: Offload baskets and manage returns, ensuring all products are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Assist drivers in fostering positive relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Product Quality and Safety: Ensure that products loaded onto the truck are undamaged, correctly dated, and comply with quality standards.
  • Accurate Loading: Ensure the correct product is loaded according to the loading sheet and that products are not short-dated or expired.
  • Delivery to Customers: Offload and merchandise products at designated customer locations, following all instructions and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Customer Assistance: Maintain a helpful, friendly demeanor and provide excellent customer service during every interaction.

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is required.
  • Criminal Record: Applicants must have no criminal records.
  • Work Ethics: Punctuality is a must, be prepared to arrive an hour earlier than scheduled.
  • Physical and Logistical Abilities: Ability to work under a driver’s supervision, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Customer Service Skills: Must be friendly, helpful, and focused on building strong customer relationships.
