Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWGA) is calling on ambitious students to apply for Volkswagen Bursary programme for the 2026 academic year. This opportunity provides financial support, mentorship, and career development to deserving undergraduate students across a wide range of fields.
Fields of Study Covered
The bursary will be awarded for undergraduate studies in the following areas:
- Engineering: Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, and Mechatronics Engineering
- Finance: BCom Finance, Bachelor of Accounting Science, BCom Strategy Development, and Strategy Management
- Logistics: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Transport
- Marketing: BCom Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing and Communication
- Quality and Polymer Technology
What the Volkswagen Bursary Covers
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive financial support, which includes:
- Registration and tuition fees
- Prescribed textbooks and stationery

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric with a Bachelor’s Pass
- Must be studying full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the eligible fields
- Must be registered or enrolling at a recognised and accredited South African tertiary institution
- Must have achieved a minimum average of 70% in Matric and 65% at tertiary level
- Must not be employed full-time
- Preference will be given to candidates from Designated Groups, in line with VWGA’s Transformation and Employment Equity objectives
Required Documents
When applying online, candidates must submit clear certified copies (less than 3 months old) of the following documents:
- South African ID document
- Matric certificate
- Full academic transcripts and official June 2025 results
- Proof of registration and 2025 fee statements
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Motivational letter (1–2 pages)
- Lease agreement (if applicable)
- Parents/guardians’ ID documents or death certificates (if applicable)
- Bursary/NSFAS agreement (if funded elsewhere)
- Disability documentation (if applicable)
- Consent form and guardian’s ID (if under 18)
Note: If multiple documents are submitted, they must be combined into a single file.
Closing Date
The deadline for applications is 19 September 2025. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
