These internships are designed for unemployed youth who are passionate about gaining real workplace skills and experience. If you are a Waterberg TVET College student or graduate, now is your chance to take a step toward building a solid career.
Available Internship Opportunities
There are five internship placements, each lasting for 24 months and providing monthly stipends. These opportunities are open only to current or past Waterberg TVET College students who have not previously participated in this internship programme.

Important Note: Students who have already participated in an internship programme under ETDP SETA should not apply.
Candidate Eligibility and Requirements
General Criteria
- Must be unemployed.
- Aged between 18 and 35.
- Must not have participated in any previous internship offered by ETDP SETA.
- Must be able to provide certified copies of:
- South African ID
- Academic qualifications
- Academic transcripts or records
Academic Requirements per Internship
- Hospitality (WTVET 2025/06): NCV Level 4 certificate from Waterberg TVET College.
- Finance Diploma (WTVET 2025/07): Grade 12 or NCV Level 4, plus a completed National Diploma.
- Agriculture Diploma (WTVET 2025/08): Grade 12 or NCV Level 4, plus a completed National Diploma.
- Human Resources (WTVET 2025/09): Grade 12 or NCV Level 4, with a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in HR.
- Finance Degree (WTVET 2025/10): Grade 12 or NCV Level 4, with a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Finance.
Internship Locations
- Lebowakgomo – Engineering and Skills Training Centre
- Thabazimbi – Thabazimbi Campus, Regorogile
- Rooywal Farm – IT and Computer Science Centre
- Mokopane – Central Office (HR and Finance placements)
Each site is equipped to provide relevant, hands-on training in your field of study.
Stipends and Support
Interns will receive monthly stipends based on their field of study:
- Hospitality: R3,500
- Agriculture and Finance (Diploma): R5,000
- HR and Finance (Degree): R6,500
Note: Interns must arrange their own transport and accommodation during the internship period.
