Building Future Engineering Leaders
The bursary programme is designed for students who are eager to grow in the engineering sector and make a meaningful contribution to South Africa’s infrastructure and resource industries. Four bursaries will be awarded in 2025 across the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering – 2nd year
- Mining Engineering – 2nd / 3rd year
- Electrical Engineering – 2nd year
- Civil Engineering – 2nd year
This opportunity is open to students registered at accredited South African tertiary institutions who have successfully completed their first year of study. Applicants are expected to maintain an average of at least 65% with no failed subjects.

Eligibility Criteria

- Be registered at a recognised South African tertiary institution

- Hold a valid South African ID
- Be from a previously disadvantaged background
