FSCA Internship Programme

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is offering a unique opportunity for young graduates looking to embark on a career in market conduct regulation and supervision. The FSCA’s 2025/26 Internship Programme aims to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to navigate the financial services sector while contributing to the transformation of South Africa’s financial markets.

About the Internship Programme

This one-year, non-renewable internship programme is designed to produce a pipeline of skilled professionals who will support the FSCA in achieving its mandate:

  • Transforming the integrity of financial markets.
  • Protecting financial customers through fair treatment by financial institutions.
  • Providing financial education and ensuring financial stability.

Selected interns will be guided under the mentorship of experienced professionals, gaining valuable exposure to various aspects of the FSCA’s work. Each intern will be assigned to a specific division, based on their qualifications and career goals, where they will undergo competency-based training to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Who Should Apply?

The FSCA is committed to increasing the representation of marginalised groups in line with its Employment Equity Plan. As such, the internship is open to all eligible South African citizens, with persons with disabilities encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Candidates must have completed one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Events Management/Public Relations
    • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Multi-media Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education
    • BCom Economics, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management
    • National Diploma in Logistics
    • BSc in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or IT
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE)
    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
    • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Office Administration, Public Administration, or Business Administration
    • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Risk Management, Legal, or Corporate Governance Administration
  • No prior work experience is required.
  • A strong desire to work in the financial services sector is essential.
