Secretary Vacancies at Maluti TVET College

Maluti TVET College, under the Department of Higher Education and Training, is inviting applications for two Secretary positions within its Academic Services and Financial Management Directorates. This opportunity offers motivated administrative professionals the chance to contribute to one of South Africa’s leading public TVET institutions.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Secretary (X2 Posts)
  • Salary: R228 321 per annum (Level 05)
  • Centres:
    • Central Office (Directorate: Academic Services) – Ref No: MALUTITVET/AS-014/2025
    • Corporate Office (Directorate: Financial Management) – Ref No: MALUTITVET/FM-015/2025
  • Closing Date: 14 November 2025 at 13:00

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12/Standard 10/NCV Level 4).
  • An appropriate National Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies, Management Assistant, Office Management and Technology, or a relevant qualification.
  • At least three months of experience in secretarial services.

Competencies and Attributes

The ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, prescripts, and administrative procedures.
  • Basic financial management and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and typing (minimum 65 WPM).
  • Professional grooming, reliability, and discretion.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities

The appointed secretaries will:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and receptionist support to the manager.
  • Schedule and manage appointments and maintain the manager’s diary.
  • Prepare, type, and edit documents and correspondence.
  • Arrange meetings and events, including logistics and travel arrangements.
  • Record minutes, handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, and ensure proper filing.
  • Assist with claims processing, document collation, and meeting preparations.
