This structured 24-month development programme is designed to equip graduates with practical, on-the-job experience in core Human Resource disciplines. The programme aims to develop future HR professionals by combining formal learning, workplace exposure, mentorship, and performance feedback within a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.
Successful candidates will be integrated into various HR functional areas, gaining a holistic understanding of Eskom’s people management practices while contributing to meaningful organisational initiatives.

Purpose of the Role
The Graduate in Training will support the People Management team in executing HR strategies aligned with organisational objectives. The role focuses on developing practical HR capabilities, enhancing business acumen, and building a strong foundation in talent and performance management.

Key Responsibilities
During the programme, incumbents will rotate or be exposed to multiple HR functions, including:

- Assist in coordinating training programmes and learning interventions
- Support the implementation of employee development plans
- Monitor and track training outcomes and compliance
Talent Management
- Participate in talent identification and succession planning processes
- Assist in performance management cycles and reporting
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
Skills Development
- Contribute to skills audits and workforce planning activities
- Support the administration of skills development frameworks and reporting requirements
- Assist with compliance to legislative requirements (e.g., Skills Development Act)
Transformation
- Support transformation and diversity initiatives across the organisation
- Assist in tracking and reporting on transformation targets and metrics

General HR Support
- Collate, analyse, and consolidate HR data and reports
