Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A Grade 12 National Certificate.
- A recognised qualification as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
- Active registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- At least five (5) years’ experience in pharmaceutical warehousing, stock management, stock-taking, distribution, and management.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and proactive skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Managing store functions and supervising staff.
- Overseeing daily receiving, storage, issuing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
- Implementing inventory management practices according to FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Conducting training, supervision, and discipline of staff.
- Preparing for annual and bi-annual stock-takes.
- Investigating inventory discrepancies and monitoring expiry dates.
- Ensuring compliance with GPP, GDP, Good Warehousing Practices, and SOPs.
- Managing staff attendance, leave, and performance assessments.
- Enforcing OHS compliance, including the use of protective clothing.
- Participating in internal audits and assisting with CAPA implementation.
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Rotating within different sections of the warehouse when required.
