Programme Overview
The Eskom Graduate in Training Programme aims to develop future leaders through structured workplace exposure, mentorship, and skills development. For 2026, the position available is within the Communication and Stakeholder Management Division — a crucial part of Eskom’s public engagement and information-sharing functions.
As a Graduate in Training, you will be exposed to various communication platforms, stakeholder management strategies, and corporate partnership initiatives that strengthen Eskom’s relationships with communities and partners.
This 24-month programme is ideal for graduates who are passionate about communication, collaboration, and public relations — and who want to contribute meaningfully to South Africa’s sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Communication and Stakeholder Management team, you will:
- Support the implementation of Eskom’s internal communication strategies and initiatives.
- Assist with stakeholder engagement and relationship-building activities.
- Identify potential partnership opportunities and communication platforms.
- Contribute to strategic projects that enhance Eskom’s public image and corporate communication effectiveness.
- Participate in organisational learning and development initiatives to improve communication flow within the business unit.
Skills and Competencies Required
Eskom is looking for motivated, adaptable, and ethical graduates who demonstrate:

Minimum Qualification & Experience
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must have:
- A B Degree in Communication or Public Relations (NQF Level 7, 360 credits).
- No prior work experience required — this programme is designed for fresh graduates ready to learn and grow.
