Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Security Level 3 position at Leratong Hospital, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
- Grade C Security Certificate
- Valid PSIRA registration
- No criminal record
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to communicate in more than one official language
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Knowledge of public sector security prescripts
- Understanding of Batho Pele principles
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining safety and security within the hospital environment. Duties include:
- Ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients, visitors, and hospital assets
- Managing access control at all entry and exit points
- Searching vehicles, staff, and patients entering or leaving the facility
- Conducting hourly patrols within hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fencing
- Reporting suspicious activities and security incidents
- Monitoring CCTV surveillance systems
- Attending sectional meetings and submitting reports
- Providing backup support to other security units when required
