How to Apply & Application Requirements

Application Submission

  • Use the prescribed new Z83 application form (Note: the old Z83 form was withdrawn from 31 December 2020)
  • Fill out all sections of the form, including page 2, and sign it
  • Clearly indicate the reference number (e.g. “GPW2025/05”) on the Z83
  • Provide a detailed CV
  • Certified copies of your ID document, Senior Certificate, and highest qualification
  • Driver’s license, if required for that internship
  • For foreign qualifications, supply SAQA evaluation

Important: Only shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit certified documents before or on interview day.

Selection Process & Additional Notes

  • Shortlisted candidates must be available for interviews at date and time set by GPW
  • Personnel suitability checks (background, references, security) will be done
  • Successful interns will sign an employment contract and performance agreement
  • A positive security clearance is required
  • The GPW reserves the right not to fill all posts
  • If you don’t hear back within 3 months (for internship) or 6 months (for other posts) after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful
  • GPW is not obligated to hire interns at the end of the internship

  2. Use a clear, well-structured CV
  3. Match your qualification and academic record to the post you apply for
  4. Provide SAQA evaluation if your degree is from outside South Africa
