Key Responsibilities
- Grade 4 Teaching: Delivering lessons in isiZulu or Afrikaans FAL, with a focus on the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4 to 6).
- Curriculum Planning and Classroom Management: Effective planning and managing the CAPS curriculum to create an engaging and productive learning environment.
- Continuous Assessment and Reporting: Managing continuous assessments, tracking progress, and providing detailed reports on student outcomes.
- Use of Technology: Implementing creative teaching methods through online platforms, including Microsoft Teams and other applications.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Working closely with colleagues to share knowledge and ideas, contributing to a supportive and dynamic teaching environment.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A recognized degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification.
- SACE registration.
- Proficiency in teaching Grade 4 with a speciality in Intermediate Phase isiZulu or Afrikaans FAL up to Grade 6.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in using online teaching platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- The ability to collaborate and be flexible within a team-oriented environment.
- A sound understanding of 21st-century learning and constructivist teaching methodologies.
- Experience in continuous assessment and a thorough understanding of classroom management.
- Knowledge and experience with the CAPS curriculum.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of self-motivation, energy, and initiative.
