Available Molemole Local Municipality Vacancies

1. Electrical Artisan (x2) – Technical Services Department

Task Grade: 12
Annual Basic Salary: R 456,195.48 (Plus applicable benefits)
Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
  • N6 in Electrical Engineering (from an FET College) with a trade test, or a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (from a University of Technology) or higher.
  • Valid Code C1 driver’s license.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in the electrical field.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in municipal electrical network facilities.
  • Ensure the operation and maintenance of Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, and High Voltage apparatus.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to assistant electricians and perform standby duties as needed.

2. Clerk – Legal Services

Task Grade: 07
Annual Basic Salary: R 229,333.68
Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • Diploma in Legal Studies (LLB Degree will be advantageous).
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in legal services or administrative roles.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal assistance and administrative support to the legal manager.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and legislation.
  • Draft documents such as affidavits, contracts, and letters.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems, manage calendars, and monitor deadlines.

3. Senior Internal Auditor (Re-advert)

Task Grade: 13
Annual Basic Salary: R 525,942.60 (Plus applicable benefits)
Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 and a National Diploma or higher in Internal Audit/Accounting (NQF: 6).
  • At least four years of experience in the audit environment.
  • Membership with the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA) is advantageous.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide inputs to the Annual Audit Plan and supervise internal auditors.
  • Review municipal performance, financial statements, and budgets.
  • Compile audit reports, manage planning, execution, and reporting of audits.
  • Coordinate AG activities and manage Audit Committee functions.

4. Administration Officer

Task Grade: 10
Annual Basic Salary: R 327,316.08
Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 and a National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Administration/Public Management.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and strong communication abilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide general office administration support.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, events, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain filing systems, manage documents, and assist various municipal divisions.
  • Perform additional duties as delegated by the Municipal Manager.

5. Driver/Chauffeur (Re-advert)

Task Grade: 08
Contract Duration: Non-renewable, linked to the term of office of the Mayor
Annual Basic Salary: R 258,202.56 (Plus applicable benefits)
Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Valid Code B driver’s license with five years of driving experience.
  • Advanced driving certificate is advantageous.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide driving and chauffeur services to the Mayor for official duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Mayor or Municipal Principals.
