Who Can Apply for the PPS Foundation Bursary

To qualify for the PPS Foundation Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must maintain a minimum academic average of 65%.
  • Must have a household income of R1,000,000 or less per annum.

This bursary is intended for students who not only perform well academically but also demonstrate financial need and a desire to give back to their communities.

Required Supporting Documents

Applicants must upload clear and valid copies of all the following documents when applying for the PPS Foundation Bursary:

  • Full academic transcript or results on official letterhead:
    • Matriculants and first-year applicants should submit preliminary results by 20 December 2025.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit final academic results by 16 January 2026.
  • Proof of household income (choose one of the following):
    • Payslips of parent(s)/guardian(s), if employed
    • Affidavit if parent(s)/guardian(s) are unemployed
    • Death certificate(s) if parent(s)/guardian(s) are deceased
  • Certified copy of South African ID, not older than 3 months
