Purpose of the Sales Consultant Role

Main Responsibilities
1. Customer Service & Sales

- Process all orders, forms, and applications quickly and accurately.
- Provide accurate management of customer accounts and maintain proper records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
2. Complaint Resolution
- Handle inquiries and complaints with professionalism and patience.
- Clarify and identify customer concerns before providing solutions.
- Ensure customer verifications are performed continuously.
- Resolve product or service issues quickly and follow up with customers until the matter is fully resolved.
3. Stock & Sales Management
- Submit weekly stock forecasts.
- Ensure daily sales orders are captured correctly and processed on time.
- Balance daily transactions and cash-up reports with zero variances.
4. Finance & Administration
- File documents with 100% accuracy and ensure they are audit-compliant.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to management.
5. Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow all workplace safety and health regulations.
- Report safety concerns and incidents to the relevant representative.
- Assist in creating a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
- NQF Level 5 Certificate or proof of completion of internal workshops/online training courses.
Experience
- 6–24 months’ experience in sales, retail, or service environments.
- ICT (Information and Communication Technology) product knowledge will be an advantage.
Skills
- Ability to increase sales through effective customer engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of relevant computer applications.
