Role Overview

Your main purpose is to design, develop, and deliver digital learning content that is fit for purpose and available on time. You’ll focus on online content development with a strong emphasis on animation. You will help set standards for content development to ensure consistency and quality across projects. You’ll also coordinate delivery with a Graphic Designer and a Superuser Instructional Designer.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality and Standards
   • Make sure all digital content meets Sasol’s standards, governance, and guidelines.
   • Complete quality assurance (QA) checks on every project before it goes live.
2. Manage Costs and Track Savings
   • Track and report weekly cost savings when content is created internally.
   • Track and report external spend for any content produced by outside vendors.
3. Follow the ADDIE Model for Instructional Design
   • For internal projects, use the ADDIE approach (more on this below).
   • Involve internal stakeholders at key project milestones (for example: storyboard sign-off, first build, pilot test).
4. Supervise and Assure Internal Projects
   • When projects are assigned to a superuser/instructional designer or another instructional designer, ensure they follow the standards and perform QA on their completed work.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

• 3+ years of total work experience.
• At least 2 years specifically in instructional design using Articulate software and Adobe Creative Cloud for animation and illustrations.

Education:

• A relevant Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following (or similar):
  • Graphic Design
  • E-learning Content Development
  • Content Design
  • Information Design
