Necsa is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to provide security and protection services across its premises and facilities. Successful candidates will ensure that Necsa complies with Constitutional, legislative, and regulatory obligations, as well as international security agreements.
This is a permanent role suited to individuals who are alert, disciplined, and passionate about public safety.
Key Responsibilities
As a Security Officer at Necsa Group, your duties will include:
- Access and Egress Control:
Manage and monitor people, vehicles, and materials entering or exiting Necsa facilities. Ensure all persons are positively identified through the official access control system. - Patrolling and Surveillance:
Conduct regular patrols to deter, detect, report, and respond to any security threats. Gather and interpret information to prepare detailed patrol reports. - Search and Inspection:
Perform searches on persons, goods, and vehicles in accordance with established Necsa Security Services Department (SSD) procedures. - Escorting Duties:
Escort authorised individuals, goods, and vehicles within Necsa premises to ensure safety and compliance with security regulations. - Emergency Response:
Identify and respond to emergency situations promptly, assist in evacuation drills, and support crisis management efforts when necessary. - Firearm Handling:
Handle and maintain firearms responsibly in line with Necsa’s firearm procedures and safety standards.
Required Competencies
Necsa is looking for security professionals who demonstrate:

Candidates must be physically fit and capable of performing access control and patrol duties efficiently.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Security Officer Vacancy at Necsa Group, applicants must meet the following criteria:
General Requirements
- Valid Code B driver’s licence or higher
- Must meet Necsa’s vetting and background screening requirements (no criminal record)
- Ages 18 – 35
- Physically fit for security-related duties
Academic Qualifications
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- PSIRA Grade C (or higher) registration
- Valid SAPS firearm competency certificate for all National Key Point (NKP) specified types
- NKP certificate of competency and supporting course results
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in general security work
- Experience working in a National Key Point (NKP) environment will be a strong advantage
