Telesales Clerk position at Red Star Wholesale Catering Services

Red Star Wholesale Catering Services is currently looking for a dedicated Telesales Clerk to join their dynamic team in Brackenfell, Cape Town. Key Responsibilities

As a Telesales Clerk at Red Star, you’ll be involved in a range of essential duties, including:

  • Calling on New and Existing Clients: You’ll follow up on new and current orders, making sure that customers are satisfied and their needs are met.
  • Providing Excellent Client Service: Clear and consistent communication is key, and you will be expected to provide top-tier customer service throughout every interaction.
  • Order Processing: You will be responsible for processing orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Building and Managing Client Relationships: As a primary point of contact, you’ll engage with customers regularly, working to establish and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Sales Support: Assisting the sales representatives by managing client queries, suggesting product alternatives, and identifying upselling opportunities.
  • General Office Administration: Performing routine administrative tasks, such as handling documentation and processing paperwork.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following essential requirements:

  • Grade 12 Qualification: A high school diploma is necessary for this role.
  • Proven Experience: At least one year of experience in telesales or another sales/customer service role is required. Previous experience in a similar environment will be highly advantageous.
  • Telephone Etiquette: You must possess excellent telephone manners and be able to handle calls professionally at all times.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to offer exceptional service to clients are key to succeeding in this role.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively, while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor.
  • Computer Literate: Proficiency in MS Office is required, along with familiarity with CRM software and telephone systems.
  • Team-Oriented and Target-Driven: The ability to work well as part of a team and to meet targets is essential. This role requires someone who can perform under pressure and handle deadlines effectively.
  • Fluent in English: A strong command of the English language is necessary, both for written and verbal communication.
