Key Performance Areas
As a Station Assistant: Sales and Customer Care, you will have a range of important responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of your station and excellent service delivery to customers. These responsibilities include:
- Pre-Shift Inspection: Ensuring the station operates smoothly before shifts by conducting inspections.
- Cash Handling and Stock Reconciliation: Managing cash floats and performing stock reconciliation to ensure no discrepancies.
- Sales Operations: Executing card sales and trip top-up processes in line with the station’s procedures.
- Customer Care: Assisting customers and executing customer care processes and procedures with a focus on professionalism and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Relations: Communicating effectively with stakeholders and ensuring that policies and operating procedures are adhered to.
- Resource Management: Monitoring and controlling the use of station resources and assets to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Administrative Tasks: Carrying out reporting and administrative duties related to station operations.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 10 (NQF level 2) or equivalent qualification.
- 0-2 years relevant experience in cash handling and customer care.
- Preference will be given to City of Johannesburg residents, and proof of residence will be required with the application.
- An added advantage would be experience working in a high-pressure public service environment.
