Job Description
The Primary School Assistant at Constantia Waldorf School will support teachers in delivering a holistic and individualized educational experience for students. This is a contract position set to begin on 15th September 2025, running for a period of 3 months. The successful candidate will work closely with students across various primary school grades, assist with administrative tasks, and support teachers in classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Primary School Assistant, you will be expected to perform a wide range of duties, all aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students and supporting the day-to-day operations of the school. Your responsibilities will include:
- Classroom Assistance: Provide general support to teachers in the classroom by helping students with tasks, maintaining a positive learning environment, and assisting with group activities.
- Student Support: Work individually with students who may need extra assistance, as well as work with smaller student groups to reinforce key concepts and skills.
- Teacher Support: Assist teachers with administrative tasks, helping with planning, preparation, and other organizational duties as needed.
- School Events: Participate in the organization and execution of school events, such as festivals and other community-building activities.
- Faculty Meetings: Attend weekly faculty meetings to collaborate with the teaching staff, contribute to discussions, and engage in professional development.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- SACE Registration: Applicants must be registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) to ensure compliance with teaching standards.
