The Short-Term Insurance Learnership 2026 is offered by Momentum Insure in partnership with INSETA.

This learnership provides structured workplace learning and theoretical training in the short-term insurance sector. It is aimed at unemployed young South Africans who are interested in gaining industry exposure while working toward a recognised qualification.

The programme will take place at Momentum Insure’s Centurion office in Gauteng. This is a learnership opportunity and does not guarantee permanent employment.

Who Can Apply

Applications are open to:

  • Unemployed South African youth
  • Applicants aged between 18 and 25 years, including those turning 25 in 2025
  • Individuals who are not currently studying
  • Applicants who are not registered for any other learnership
  • Candidates who do not hold any post-Matric qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be between 18 and 25 years of age
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Must have passed Matric
  • Must have achieved at least 50 percent for English in Matric
  • Mathematics is beneficial but not compulsory
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must currently be unemployed and have no work experience
  • Must not be studying at any institution
  • Must not hold a post-Matric qualification
  • Must not be registered for another learnership
  • Must have a clear criminal and credit record

The following documents must be attached:

  • Copy of South African ID
  • Copy of Matric certificate
  • If currently completing Matric, attach preliminary exam results

Applications submitted without an ID and Matric certificate or preliminary results will not be considered.

Programme Duration

The learnership will run from 26 March 2026 to 31 March 2027.

The programme combines structured workplace exposure with formal training over 12 months at the Centurion office. Some remote work may be required.

Participants will receive a fixed monthly stipend during the learnership.


Certification or Accreditation

Upon successful completion, participants will receive:

  • FETC Short-Term Insurance qualification
  • NQF Level 4 certification
  • Qualification aligned with INSETA standards

The qualification is recognised within the South African insurance sector.
