The successful candidate will work from Monday to Friday.
Daily Schedule
- 08:00 – 13:30: Administration duties
- 13:30 – 14:30: Lunch break
- 14:30 – 18:00: High school aftercare tutoring

Administration Duties
During office hours, the candidate will work at reception and assist with various administrative responsibilities.
These include:
- Answering telephone calls and WhatsApp enquiries professionally
- Assisting parents and visitors at reception
- Providing feedback to parents
- Assessing new students and discussing results with parents
- Enrolling new students
- Scheduling lessons and managing tutor diaries
- Filing and organising student records
- Capturing and maintaining accurate data
- Typing reports, letters, and feedback documents
- Managing emails and communication with parents
- General office administration
- Supporting management during busy periods
Tutoring Responsibilities
In the afternoons, the successful applicant will support high school learners from Grades 8 to 12.
Duties include:
- Homework supervision
- Exam preparation
- Study techniques and methods
- Assignments and projects
- Essays and reading tasks
- Remedial support in key subjects
Subjects You Must Be Able to Tutor
- Mathematics (Grade 8–12)
- English (Grade 8–12)
- Afrikaans (Grade 8–12)
Candidates must be able to explain concepts clearly, help learners build confidence, and maintain a structured learning environment.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- At least 2 years of tutoring experience
- Strong academic ability and tutoring skills
- Ability to tutor Mathematics, English, and Afrikaans from Grade 8–12
- Minimum final Matric marks of 75% in these subjects
- Copy of Matric certificate required
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Strong command of Afrikaans
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
- Clean-cut and well presented appearance
- Own reliable transport
- Willingness to work extra during busy periods

Salary and Additional Earnings
The salary ranges between R5 660 and R9 660 per month, depending on the number of students enrolled in your aftercare class.
There is also an opportunity to earn additional income by assisting with Saturday tutoring classes.
