Rand Water is looking for a qualified and experienced Driver to join its Bulk Water Services – Operations team in Zuikerbosch, Three Rivers East, Vereeniging, Gauteng.
This is a full-time opportunity for candidates with a Grade 12 qualification, relevant driving experience, a valid Code EB driver’s licence and a Public Driving Permit (PrDP).
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting staff and equipment to different destinations while ensuring that vehicles remain clean, safe and roadworthy.

Minimum Requirements
To apply for this Driver vacancy, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- At least 3 years of relevant driving experience.
- A valid Code EB driver’s licence.
- Ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test.
- Must be in possession of a Public Driving Permit (PrDP).
Driver Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of transport and vehicle-related duties, including:
Transport and Customer Service
- Transport staff and equipment safely to different destinations.
- Respond to customer requests when required.
- Plan tasks to ensure transport is available when needed.
- Complete all transport schedules within the Mechanical section.
Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
- Keep vehicles clean and in a safe, roadworthy condition.
- Conduct daily inspections of motor vehicles.
- Investigate and report vehicle faults.
- Carry out responsibilities relating to planned vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain work standards and comply with legal and safety requirements.
Financial Responsibilities
- Handle petty cash safely and responsibly.
Knowledge Required
Applicants should have knowledge of:
- The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
- Road traffic rules and regulations.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate should have:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Administrative skills.
- Defensive driving skills.
