Gauteng Tourism Authority Internship
The Gauteng Tourism Authority is an agency of the Gauteng Department of Economic Development. Its role includes developing and promoting Gauteng as a leading tourism destination while supporting responsible and sustainable tourism across the province.
Through this internship, the successful candidate will gain exposure to the creative and digital side of destination marketing while supporting GTA and Visit Gauteng campaigns.

What Will the Intern Do?
This is a hands-on creative opportunity covering multiple areas of digital communications and content production.
1. Digital Content Creation and Storytelling
The intern will assist with researching, conceptualising and developing engaging digital content that promotes Gauteng tourism, investment opportunities, events and destination stories.
Duties will include:
- Helping develop multimedia storytelling concepts for GTA and Visit Gauteng campaigns.
- Creating audience-focused written, visual, audio and video content.
- Supporting the development of content calendars and campaign plans.
- Researching content ideas relevant to tourism marketing campaigns.
- Developing creative stories that showcase Gauteng as a destination.
2. Creative Design and Brand Communications
The successful candidate will also assist with the creation of professional visual content for digital campaigns and communications.
This may include designing:
- Social media graphics.
- Infographics.
- Posters.
- Signage.
- Presentation decks.
- Promotional materials.
- Other digital campaign assets.
The intern will be expected to follow GTA’s corporate identity and help ensure that the organisation’s visual identity and messaging remain consistent across different platforms.
3. Multimedia and Video Production
