Red circle signs are the ones that carry fines, and one of them is the single most common trick question in the whole test. Get the family right and a large block of marks becomes easy.
Anything inside a red circle is something you may not do: exceed this speed, enter here, overtake, turn that way.
The trap is speed. The same number means opposite things depending on the colour around it.
A sign shows 60 in a blue circle. Is that the speed limit?
No, and this is a favourite test question. A number in a white circle with a red border is a maximum: do not go faster. The same number in a solid blue circle is a minimum: do not go slower. Same number, opposite instruction, decided entirely by the colour.
