Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications and competencies:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification
- A certificate in Office Management or Secretarial Studies
- Fluent in Afrikaans

Technical skills in office management, administration, secretarial functions, and general office administration are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant will undertake a range of tasks to support the Commission on Khoi-San Matters, including:
- Document and Filing Management: Develop and manage an efficient filing system, distribute documents to Commission members, maintain appropriate registers, and ensure effective document tracking.
- Secretarial Support: Prepare documentation for Commission meetings, workshops, public hearings, and outreach activities. Responsibilities include compiling agendas, attendance registers, minutes, and reports, as well as drafting correspondence directed by the Secretariat or Commission.
- Diary and Travel Management: Oversee the diaries of the Commission, ensure effective coordination, and handle logistics for travel, meetings, and conferences. Manage office telephone and communication systems.
- Administrative Support: Order stationery and office equipment, manage office inventory, and perform routine administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, and emailing documents.
