This fully funded programme is aimed at empowering individuals from township and rural communities with hands-on training that can open doors to self-employment and entrepreneurship.

  • Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI)
  • KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA)
  • KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development (DSD)
  • Human Capital Learning Solutions (HCLS ICT Academy)

Cellphone Repair Training Programme Details

  • Venue: MKRI Offices, 190 K.E Masinga Road, Durban
  • Dates: 23 February – 20 March 2026
  • Duration: 4 weeks (Monday to Friday)
  • Closing Date for Applications: 16 February 2026

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a KwaZulu-Natal resident
  • Be unemployed with a valid South African ID
  • Have at least Grade 11 with:
    • Mathematics (minimum 40%) OR
    • Mathematical Literacy (minimum 50%)
  • Successfully complete the pre-assessment

Priority will be given to women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

How to Apply

Please note that the application process will be conducted in three phases:

  • Phase 1 – Application Submission:
    Applicants must complete and submit the online application form.
  • Phase 2 – Pre-Assessment Test:
    Once your application has been received, you will be sent a pre-assessment test to complete.
  • Phase 3 – Final Interview Process:
    Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a final interview before selection is confirmed.

Only applicants who successfully complete all three phases will be considered for final admission into the programme.
