About the Nedbank CA Trainee Programme
The Nedbank CA Trainee Programme is a three-year structured training journey designed to equip aspiring Chartered Accountants with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to excel in the financial sector. Unlike traditional programmes, trainees can tailor their rotations according to their career aspirations while gaining exposure to multiple divisions within the bank.
Key Responsibilities
As a trainee in the Nedbank CA Trainee Programme, you will:
- Complete your articles in line with SAICA Training Regulations.
- Rotate through various divisions, managing deliverables within expected turnaround times.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and systems.
- Take ownership of your Learning and Development, following SAICA’s Technical and Professional Skill Requirements.
- Actively contribute to programme committees, including Marketing, Recruitment, and Social Committees, to enhance professional development.
- Support culture-building initiatives to contribute to transformation goals.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Undergraduate Qualification:
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent SAICA-accredited undergraduate qualification
Essential Postgraduate Qualification:
- Honours in Accounting, or
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent) that allows access to SAICA’s Initial Test of Competence
