The Rand Refinery Grade 12 Tutoring Programme is now open for applications for 2026. This programme forms part of Rand Refinery’s Social-Economic Development Initiative and aims to support Grade 12 learners in Mathematics and Physical Science at selected schools in and around Ekurhuleni, Gauteng.
The programme offers unemployed graduates an opportunity to gain practical tutoring experience while contributing to improved matric results during the critical examination period.

About the Rand Refinery Grade 12 Tutoring Programme
The Rand Refinery Grade 12 Tutoring Programme is designed to improve learner performance through structured tutoring sessions, focused revision, and exam preparation in Mathematics and Physical Science.
Successful applicants will be placed at three to four high schools in and around Ekurhuleni, supporting learners in preparation for their Grade 12 Preliminary examinations.
Who Can Apply?
Applications for the Rand Refinery Grade 12 Tutoring Programme are open to candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Currently unemployed graduates
- Mathematics and/or Physical Science completed up to third-year level
- Studying towards or have completed a qualification in:
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- Or a qualification where these subjects were core modules
- Previous tutoring experience will be an advantage
- Strong subject knowledge and communication skills
Programme Responsibilities
Participants selected for the Rand Refinery Grade 12 Tutoring Programme will be expected to:
- Conduct Grade 12 tutoring sessions
- Assist learners with past paper revision
- Support exam preparation and problem-solving strategies
- Improve learner understanding and confidence in Mathematics and Physical Science
- Be available to tutor on Fridays and Saturdays during the examination period
