About the Services SETA Internships

The Services SETA Internships programme aims to provide graduates with practical workplace experience while supporting the organisation’s marketing and communication objectives. Interns will work closely with internal teams and assist with content creation, stakeholder communication, and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Services SETA Internships programme, successful candidates will:

  • Assist with the implementation of the organisation’s marketing and communications strategy
  • Propose innovative ideas for engaging content across various communication platforms
  • Support the management of content on social media platforms and websites
  • Assist in drafting media statements, announcements, and press releases
  • Write and edit marketing and communication materials
  • Create and curate content for social media, newsletters, and the organisation’s website
  • Work with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding
  • Draft stories and messages for internal and external publications
  • Maintain and update contact databases and media distribution lists
  • Assist with coordinating events, workshops, and promotional activities
  • Support stakeholder communication messaging
  • Perform general administrative duties within the department

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Services SETA Internships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (minimum NQF Level 4)
  • National Diploma or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6) in:
    • Marketing
    • Public Relations
    • Communications
    • Journalism
    • Graphic Design
    • or a related field
