If you’re studying or hoping to study Report 191 Natural Sciences at Tshwane South TVET College, the next ten days are some of the most important of your academic year.
Registration for Trimester 2 of 2026 opens on Monday 11 May and runs through to Monday 18 May, with classes starting the same day registration closes. Miss the window and you wait until the next trimester. Walk in unprepared and you risk being turned away even if there’s space.
This is your full guide to who can register when, which campuses are involved, what walk-in actually means, and exactly what to have ready before you arrive.
The Registration Schedule at a Glance
| Date | Programme | Who It’s For |
|---|---|---|
| 11 – 15 May 2026 | N4 | New students — provisionally accepted and pre-enrolled online only |
| 13 May 2026 | N4 | Returning students |
| 14 May 2026 | N5 – N6 | Returning students |
| 15 – 18 May 2026 | N4 – N6 | Walk-ins — only if space is available |
| 13 May 2026 | — | Trimester 1 examination results released |
| 18 May 2026 | — | All classes commence |
Important: Registration dates for returning students depend on the release of Trimester 1 exam results on 13 May. If results are delayed, your registration date may shift. Check the TSC website or your campus the morning of registration to confirm.
Who Can Register, and When
This is where most students get tripped up. The college uses three different categories — and each one has a different registration window.
New Students (11 – 15 May)
You are a “new student” if this is your first time registering for Report 191 Natural Sciences at Tshwane South TVET College. But there’s a catch this trimester: only students who are already provisionally accepted or pre-enrolled online can register during this window.
In plain language:
- Provisionally accepted means TSC has reviewed your application and offered you a place, subject to you meeting final requirements (like submitting outstanding documents or paying registration fees).
- Pre-enrolled online means you’ve already completed the online enrolment process on the TSC system before 11 May.
If you haven’t done either of these things yet, you are not a new student for this trimester — you’d need to come as a walk-in (more on that below) or wait for the next intake.
Returning Students (13 – 14 May)
You are a “returning student” if you completed Trimester 1 of 2026 (or an earlier trimester) and are continuing your studies in Trimester 2.
- N4 returning students register on 13 May 2026.
- N5 and N6 returning students register on 14 May 2026.
Your registration is tied to your Trimester 1 results. The college is releasing those results on 13 May — the same day N4 students register. Don’t panic: if your results aren’t out by the time you arrive, the college will guide you through provisional registration where possible.
Walk-Ins (15 – 18 May)
This is the most misunderstood category. A walk-in registration is not a guaranteed spot. It means: if there’s still space in a programme after new and returning students have registered, you may be able to register.
Walk-ins are the option for students who:
- Did not pre-enrol online
- Were not provisionally accepted
- Missed their assigned registration day for any reason
If you’re planning to come as a walk-in, arrive as early as possible on 15 May. Spaces fill on a first-come, first-served basis. By the afternoon of 16 May, popular programmes at popular campuses are usually full.
The Campuses Offering Registration
Tshwane South TVET College is running Trimester 2 Report 191 Natural Sciences registration at four campuses:
Programme availability varies by campus. Not every campus offers every level (N4, N5, N6) of every Natural Sciences subject. Before you travel, phone the campus or check the TSC website to confirm the programme you want is offered there.
If you live in Pretoria, Centurion, Atteridgeville, Mabopane or surrounding Tshwane areas, choose the campus closest to you for the lowest transport cost over the trimester — public transport adds up fast over a 12-week course.
The Document Checklist — Don’t Show Up Without These
Whether you’re a new student, returning student, or walk-in, you will be turned away if your documents aren’t in order. Here’s what to bring:
For all students:
- Certified copy of your South African ID (not older than 3 months)
- Certified copies of your highest qualification (Matric / Grade 12 results, or your previous N-level certificate)
- Proof of residence (utility bill, lease agreement, or affidavit)
- Two recent passport-sized photographs
For NSFAS-funded students, also bring:
- Your NSFAS funding approval letter / SOP (Schedule of Particulars)
- Your NSFAS reference number
- Banking details for the NSFAS allowance
For returning students:
- Your previous Trimester 1 results (when released on 13 May)
- Your previous student card or registration number
For walk-ins:
- Everything in the “all students” list above
- Your application reference number if you applied online previously
Pro tip: Get your documents organised digitally before you go. Use the Nasi iSpani File Manager, our free tool that lets you upload, store and access your ID, qualifications, and proof of residence from your phone. If a copy is missing or damaged on registration day, you can print or email a backup in minutes instead of being sent home.
NSFAS Funding Reminders
If you’re applying for NSFAS to fund your TVET studies:
- Apply early. NSFAS applications for TVET funding are typically open year-round but processing takes time. If you haven’t applied yet, do it now — funding decisions can come through after your trimester has already started.
- Take your funding letter to registration. TSC will need to see your NSFAS approval to register you under funded status.
- Confirm your banking details. NSFAS allowances are paid directly into your account — wrong details = no money.
For a step-by-step walk through the NSFAS process, see our NSFAS Application Guide.
What Happens After You Register
- 13 May 2026 — Trimester 1 exam results released. If you’re a returning student, log in to the TSC student portal to check yours.
- 18 May 2026 — Classes commence at all four campuses. Be ready with your timetable, textbooks (or e-textbook access), and your student card.
- Plan your trimester. N4 to N6 trimesters are short, usually around 12 weeks.
Final Tips Before You Go
- Arrive early. Registration days get crowded. If you can be at the campus when doors open, do it.
- Bring everything in one folder. Don’t lose time at the front of the queue digging for documents.
- Have a backup campus in mind. If your first-choice campus is full or doesn’t offer your subject mix, knowing the next-closest option saves you a wasted day.
