Key Responsibilities

As the Digital and Social Media Specialist, you will take charge of the company’s digital marketing platforms and social media presence. Your role will include developing, executing, and managing content that resonates with Ster-Kinekor’s target audience. Your duties will include:

1. Digital and Social Media Content Strategy

  • Own and execute the digital and social media content strategy across multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, ensuring the content is fresh, engaging, and aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Develop a compelling content calendar that ensures consistent, high-quality content on all social media channels throughout the year.

2. Engagement and Trend Management

  • Proactively spot and leverage emerging social media trends to create compelling content that drives user interaction and reach.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO and web traffic metrics to ensure that content is optimized for performance.

3. Paid Social Media Campaigns

  • Take responsibility for the setup, management, and optimization of paid social media campaigns, particularly across Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram), ensuring effective audience targeting, budget allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Regularly report on the performance of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations to improve future campaigns.

4. Content Creation & Collaboration

  • Write persuasive and engaging copy tailored to each social media platform.
  • Work closely with in-house designers to create entertaining and informative content for social media that is visually compelling.

5. Social Media Advertising and Lead Generation

  • Manage the social media advertising schedule and ensure both paid and organic campaigns run seamlessly.
  • Identify new opportunities to generate leads and increase conversion rates through digital channels.

6. Influencer Marketing and Community Engagement

  • Conceptualize and execute influencer campaigns that align with the company’s brand values.
  • Manage community engagement, ensuring the company maintains a strong online presence with active and positive interactions.

7. Website & App Management

  • Oversee the management of the company’s website and app content, ensuring marketing assets are updated promptly.
  • Regularly update the homepage and other sections of the website, ensuring it reflects the company’s current marketing campaigns.

8. Reporting and Analysis

  • Gather statistics and insights for monthly and management reports (MANCO).
  • Help the marketing team stay on top of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging tools for more effective campaigns.

Qualifications & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communication.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as an Account Executive at an agency or as a digital content coordinator.
  • A proven track record in paid social media campaigns, especially across Meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and other digital advertising tools.
  • A solid understanding of social media algorithms, content formats, and analytics across platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Hands-on experience with influencer marketing, community engagement, and brand reputation management.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and a creative approach to content creation.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO optimization.
  • A good grasp of content planning and execution, including the use of CMS tools such as WordPress and Drupal.
