The Department of Roads and Transport is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Secretary in the Integrated Transport Planning section. Secretary Role Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various secretarial, clerical, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Integrated Transport Planning Section. This includes managing communication, scheduling meetings, handling inquiries, and providing general administrative support to the director.
Key Responsibilities
- Secretarial Support: Manage telephonic and electronic inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Client Interaction: Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
- Mail and Filing: Process and organise incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining an efficient filing system.
- Meeting Coordination: Screen requests for meetings, schedule appointments, and help with meeting arrangements.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with other official secretarial tasks, ensuring the section operates smoothly.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Requirements: A Grade 12 certificate along with a secretarial qualification or relevant training.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in a similar secretarial or administrative role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with office applications.
- Criminal Record Check: Applicants must be willing to undergo a criminal record check and fingerprinting by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at their own cost.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: R319 620,00 – R443 916,00 per annum
- Estimated Remuneration Package: R439 783,00 – R597 989,00 per annum
