Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- PSIRA Grade C certification
- Knowledge of:
- Physical security procedures and processes
- Safety and security legislative frameworks
- Basic computer literacy
- Understanding of confidentiality in government environments

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Security Officer, your key performance areas will include:
- Providing access control at the premises
- Monitoring and improving building safety and security
- Preventing unauthorized items from entering or leaving the premises
- Monitoring CCTV cameras
- Enrolling staff on the biometric system
- Providing controlled access to staff during weekends
- Ensuring compliance with government security protocols
This role plays a critical part in maintaining safety at a justice facility, protecting staff, visitors, and court operations.

The successful candidate will be based at the Magistrate Office in Goodwood, located in the Western Cape.
