About the Programme
The North West Provincial Treasury is the provincial government department responsible for managing public finances across the North West province. It oversees budgeting, financial reporting, risk management and supply chain compliance for provincial departments and supports municipalities in improving their financial management.
This internship is run together with PSETA, the SETA responsible for skills development in the public service sector. The 2026/28 intake gives unemployed graduates two full years of hands-on experience in government finance, accounting, auditing, risk management and human resources. Posts are split between the Provincial Treasury itself in Mahikeng and the Ramotshere Local Municipality, giving interns exposure to both provincial and local government financial operations.
