Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric, Grade 12, or NCV Level 4
  • Additional relevant qualifications will be advantageous
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer literacy, including:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Understanding of basic health and safety principles
  • Good physical health
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts

The following qualifications will provide an added advantage:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Health and Safety Certificate

In addition, the successful candidate must undergo a medical fitness assessment by a registered medical practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

The appointed Environmental Monitor Admin will support conservation and administrative operations within the park.

Administrative Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Capturing and maintaining field data records
  • Managing timesheets and payment schedules
  • Maintaining logbooks
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Filing documents
  • Booking conservation fleet services
  • Coordinating maintenance reports

Conservation Support Activities

The successful candidate will also:

  • Assist with access control activities
  • Support park management tasks
  • Assist Section Rangers and Senior Section Rangers
  • Help with procurement processes
  • Order ranger uniforms and security supplies
  • Support conservation department administration

Project and Audit Support

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with BSP monitoring project administration
  • Supporting audits and subsistence and travel claims
  • Maintaining accurate records for reporting purposes
