About the Programme
The Gallagher Foundation was founded in 2001 by Ellen and Jerry Gallagher to fund university scholarships for young leaders in three countries: South Africa, Mexico and Turkey. The first scholarships were awarded in South Africa in 2002, followed by Mexico in 2004 and Turkey in 2005. South African recipients study at the University of Cape Town, while international recipients study at ITESM Monterrey Campus in Mexico and Bogazici University in Turkey.
