HR Officer Role Description

The HR Officer position at TWK Agri is a permanent role based in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga. This position is designed for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a desire to learn.   1. Develop and Update Job Descriptions

  2. Advertise Vacancies

  4. Assist with Scheduling and Conducting Interviews
    You will assist in scheduling interviews, uploading project details to Wamly, conducting interviews, and providing applicants with feedback.
  5. Conduct Background Checks and Reference Verifications
    Employment reference checks and background verifications through MIE will be part of your responsibilities. This ensures that the candidates are thoroughly vetted before joining the company.
  6. Maintain Detailed Interview Records
    You will keep meticulous records of all interviews conducted, ensuring that all necessary HR approval packs are completed.
  7. Manage New Hire Information
    Loading new hire information into the SAGE 300 People system is crucial. Accuracy and timeliness are paramount in maintaining up-to-date HR records.
  8. System Updates and Reporting Structures
    You will manage regular system updates in SAGE 300 People, ensuring that the company’s reporting structures and position linking are always accurate.
  9. General HR Administrative Tasks
    Performing general administrative tasks to support the HR department, such as filing, organizing, and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To succeed in this role, the following qualifications and skills are essential:

  • Matric / Grade 12: A high school diploma is a minimum requirement.
  • Diploma / Degree in Human Resources or Related Field (Advantageous): While a formal qualification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant Experience (Advantageous): Any experience in HR or related fields will give you an edge.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Both written and verbal communication skills are essential to engage effectively with team members and candidates.
