The Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA), in partnership with SAMDDRA, is inviting applications for an exciting 12-month ICT internship programme designed to help ICT graduates gain valuable workplace experience.

This opportunity is ideal for graduates who want to develop practical skills, build their professional networks, and improve their chances of securing permanent employment in South Africa’s growing technology sector.


ICT Internship Details

  • Programme: ICT Graduate Internship
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Number of Positions: 3
  • Location: Midrand, Gauteng (Hybrid)
  • Closing Date: 30 July 2026

Fields of Study

Applications are open to graduates with qualifications in:

  • Systems and Software Development
  • Business Information Systems
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Systems Analysis
  • Digital Media

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Have completed a 3-year National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in one of the listed ICT-related fields.
  • Be available for the full internship programme.

Documents Required

Applicants must submit the following:

  • Copy of a South African ID document
  • Updated and comprehensive CV
  • Proof of qualification (certificate or completion letter from a SAQA-accredited institution)
  • An affidavit confirming that you are not currently enrolled in any MICT SETA-funded or other SETA-funded programme

Please note: Failure to submit all the required documents may result in your application being disqualified.

Additional Information

Successful candidates should note that:

  • The internship is based in Midrand, Gauteng, with a hybrid working arrangement.
  • Reliable transport is required.
  • Having access to a smartphone or laptop will be advantageous.
  • Good communication and computer skills (MS Office, email, and internet) are beneficial.
  • Applicants should be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
