Purpose of the Role
The Registry Clerk will provide vital registry services to the Western Cape Mobility Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks, including managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing and record management, and ensuring documents are processed and archived correctly.
The role demands the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage irregular working hours when necessary.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the role of Registry Clerk: Document Management, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or an equivalent qualification.
Desirable Skills and Experience

Remuneration
The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from R228,321 to R268,950, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to the base salary, qualifying employees will benefit from additional service benefits such as medical assistance, housing assistance, and pension fund contributions, in accordance with applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Selection Process
Candidates selected for shortlisting will be required to submit documentation for verification and undergo criminal record vetting. Practical assessments and competency tests will form part of the selection process.
Interviews will be scheduled on a date determined by the department. The selection process will be guided by the Employment Equity (EE) targets of the Western Cape Government.
