South West Gauteng TVET College (SWGC) has announced exciting Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for N6 students in partnership with leading SETAs. This programme gives unemployed graduates the chance to gain valuable workplace experience required to obtain their National N Diploma.

Monthly Stipend and Programme Duration
Successful applicants will receive:
- Monthly stipend: R3 500
- Programme duration: 18 months
- Training start date: 01 June 2026
The programme is designed to help students gain real workplace exposure while earning an income.
Fields of Study Accepted
Applications are open for students with N6 qualifications in the following programmes:
- Management Assistant
- Business Management
- Human Resource Management
- Financial Management
- Marketing Management
SETA Partners Supporting the Programme
The WIL programme is offered in collaboration with:
- Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority
- Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority
- Food and Beverages Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority
These partnerships aim to help graduates bridge the gap between studying and employment.
Applicant Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the programme, applicants must:
- Have completed an N6 qualification in a relevant field
- Require 18 months of WIL experience to qualify for the National N Diploma
- Be unemployed and available for the full 18-month period
- Provide a letter from a host employer willing to accommodate the applicant
Required Documents
Applicants must submit certified copies of the following:
- Comprehensive CV
- Matric Certificate or NC(V) Level 4 Certificate
- Certified ID copy
- College confirmation letter confirming 18 months practical experience requirement
- Proof of residence
- Bank confirmation letter
- Affidavit confirming you are not participating in any SETA-funded programme
- SARS registration letter
- N4 to N6 certificates
