Free job description template and writer

A free job description template for South Africa, written for you: pick a role, answer three questions, and get the description and a ready-to-post advert.

This tool uses third-party AI services to write the text for you. Do not enter anyone's name, ID number or contact details.

This sets how the advert reads and whether a town is needed.

We use it to match your advert to job seekers near the work.

Like Soweto or Polokwane. Leave it blank for online work.

How the job runs. It goes in the advert and helps the right people find it.

Full-time, shifts, or how many hours a week. Say what the job really is, for example "Monday to Friday, 8 to 5" or "about 20 hours a week".

The one or two things a person must have, like a driver's licence, their own transport, weekend availability, or a specific skill. We put these up front. No names or contact details here.

Questions employers ask

What should a job description include?

A clear title, a line on what the role is, the main duties, the real must-haves, and any nice-to-haves. Add where the work is, the hours, and a pay guide if you can, because adverts that say what they pay get far more replies. Keep it to what the job actually needs, and leave out anything the law does not let you ask for, like age, gender or marital status.

What is the difference between a job description and a job advert?

A job description is the full picture of the role, the duties and what you need, for your records and the contract. An advert is the shorter, friendlier version you put up to attract people, with the key points and how to apply. This tool writes both: the description to keep, and the advert ready to post.

How long should a job description be?

Shorter than you think. On a phone, people skim, so a title, a sentence or two on the role, about five to eight duties, and a short list of what you need is plenty. If a requirement is not truly needed, cut it. Every extra one turns good people away.

Can I post this job description on Nasi Ispani?

Yes. One tap sends the advert into the post form, already written, and once your mobile number is confirmed it goes live and reaches job seekers the same day. Posting is free.
