Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in a Built Environment discipline
    (e.g., Construction Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Property Studies, or related fields)
  • Must reside within the City of Johannesburg

Core Responsibilities

As a Human Settlements Intern, you will support the delivery of housing programmes across Johannesburg. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with the coordination of procedural requirements for human settlements
  • Supporting procurement management processes
  • Providing administrative support to the unit
  • Participating in project facilitation and project management activities
  • Assisting with data analysis and reporting

This role offers practical exposure to how large-scale municipal housing projects are planned, managed, and implemented.
